Midwest Pet Refuge Statistics

Midwest Pet Refuge believes that every organization should be judged by how well it achieves its mission. Transparency is key, therefore we openly publish our statistics. We update this page regularly.

Midwest Pet Refuge will never euthanize healthy, adoptable pets. We sometimes have to make heartbreaking decisions for animals with serious injuries or illnesses. This is only as a last resort, and always at the recommendation of our veterinarian.  The only time we make the difficult decision to euthanize a healthy animal is after we have carefully screened the temperament and it is determined that the animal could pose a serious threat to the community. Thankfully, we've only had to do this 1 time in the 8 years we've been in operation.
